When painting a bedroom, how do I choose the accent wall? Should it be the wall in which the bed is on? When you walk into my room, the first thing you see now is my bed which is in front a huge window. I'm single handedly painting my bedroom and I'm in a dilemma. Can someone help please? I have the good old wood chip paper on my walls and I've decided to re-paint it. The problem is, down along the sides of the paper (where it joins), as I paint on top of the wood chip paper, it's opening up. I've tried sticking it down with wallpaper paste, but it won't stick. I've put on about 6 coats of paint to try and seal it up, but it still opens up. It has now got to the point where it's so thick with paint it's stiff. I have explained this the best way I can and would be grateful for any good advice.

I started painting a bedroom in the my house. All was going well untill on wall the old paint was flaking.? I started scraping, and the paint kept coming off till I scraped almost the whole wall. There are big areas that I couldn't scrap off, leaving a very uneven texture to the wall. I seems to much to sand down.
