I wanted the walls sponge-painted in rainbow colors, with light yellow and white on top of all of the other colors (pink, light orange, light green, light blue). Make sense so far? What would be a good decor scheme for a bedroom shared by 3 year old girl and baby boy? We're having a baby boy and for the time being (until we get a bigger place) my 3 year old daughter and he will share a room. My daughter already has everything decked out in pink and full of princess accessories. I haven't bought my crib set or anything like that for my boy yet. I need a name for my Etsy shop I am opening up a new shop here Etsy and I am going to sell painted picture frames and other wooden items. The items are going to be child themed so I want a name that is "cutesy" I plan on opening it sometime this week, however I dont have a name yet =( And I was hoping that someone can help me out! Toddler bedroom decor...? My daughter just moved to a "big girl" bed and so I went out and bought her a new bedspread and all white furniture. The comforter is bright pink, lime green, purple, orange and teal. I am trying to decide what color to paint the walls. Parents & Teens - Which bedroom set is best for two girls...? Ages 11 and 8? My daughters share a room and a queen-sized bed. Right now it's pink and brown, hardwood floors with no rugs, the walls aren't painted, and it's very plain and what decor they do have is very much a little girls' room. It's ready for an update. I gave them the choice to do the room themselves, IE pick out all the paint, decor, bedding, or to let me design it and surprise them with a whole new room. They were both excited about the latter idea, so that's what I'll be doing. I figured the easiest way is to pick out bedding, then base paint and some decor around that, and then take them shopping and let them pick out the other accessories. They agreed on something with bright blue, green or teal, cool colors but still girly. Nursery/Room Decor for boy & girl...? I'm getting more and more excited as my pregnancy continues. I know I'm only 8-9 weeks, but I'm going to have so much to do before the new baby gets here. My husband, daughter, and I live in a two bedroom house. My husband and I have a room, and my daughter is in the other. What wall mural would be best for a teenage girl's bedroom (see details)? I have a gift certificate to blik.com ($100--I won a contest) and still don't know what to get. Interior Design Question- Color and Scheme of a Teenage Girl's Bedroom...? When we moved into our new house I was eleven years old and painted the room a light, lime green color. Now 5 years later, my parents are generously offering to buy me a new bedroom set. I have chosen a shabby-chic/French country theme with white painted wooden furniture and a classic metal bed (please see links below for pictures). Clue me up On Cappy men-I'm stumped? This is wordy-so please bare with it. Met a Cappy in February 2008 (at work)-started dating in late May (our relationship stayed out of the work/gossip treadmill).I'm Leo/Virgo cusp with Scorpio rising. Don't know a great deal other than born 9 Jan 1963-during a solar eclipse. He's a widower-his partner died x-mas eve just passed (2007). He got a guilt attack and felt that it was too soon for us to date-but that a part of him just wasn't willing to give up on us. I said that until he got himself sorted we should part, at first he agreed and we agreed to part friends which lasted a week, then he showed up on my door-step and made it clear he WOULD not give up and that we SHOULD be together. So we tried. We had some difficulties and admittedly I over-reacted when he did the Cappy-no contact thing. But, we seemed to get past it. Then all of a sudden he disappeared completely (late July). I waited a few weeks and then called, he was super-friendly, but I felt like he was stringing me along. I didn't accuse him of it-but instead said "you've made it clear that you've lost interest", he waivered and could neither confirm or deny (late August).So we became sort-of-friends. In October, I found out that he was now bonk-buddies with a woman in my department-heard it from her (this guy ‘choosing’ her over me is like choosing a month-old, half eaten pizza that you found in the trash over a freshly prepared roast with all the trimmings).He showed up on my doorstep the next evening, we chatted for about 3 hours, bonk-buddy subject was not bought up. We started IMing each other (very infrequently), and stayed in contact outside of work that way. We had virtually no contact at work (once upon a time he was running into me around every corner-in a building with 25 floors-any of which I could be on at no particular given time). In early November I resigned-as I had a new job, I was yet to tell him-when-I find out that apart from the bonk-buddy (that he’s till bonking)-he ‘tree trunked’ (apparently) about 30 women since his wife died (he'd been talking himself up in the office to the gossip queen).I IMed and told him to delete my number, I then sent him a cutting message-I made it clear that I knew about the bonk-buddy, and couldn't care less....but finding out that he'd disrespected his dead wife and (living) daughters by having so many sexual partners coming and going AND bragging about it-was DISGUSTING. He never replied to this message. I know that Cappys a big on planning-and this whole issue was no accident-both girls (at workplace) are HUGE gossipers and the bonk buddy is LOUD and renowned as being vitriolic when crossed. There is no doubt in my mind that he planned on being caught AND having everyone find out (not just me) -just stumped as to what he hoped to accomplish…… In the time we were together he was incredibly open, romantic and loving with me, I reciprocated by being honest and open with him and letting him know how much I appreciated his gestures. He (said) that he still loved his dead partner and I completely understood that-and made it clear to him that I applauded the sentiment and that I didn't feel threatened. He talked about our long future together. He introduced me to his closest friends (as did I), and went to lengths to introduce me to his daughters AND pets. I waited quite a while before I allowed him to meet my children-and he expressed his esteem in me for doing so. We had some 'creepy' stuff in common (that he said freaked him)-both divorced at the same time (he was previously married), both got sterilised at the same time, for the exact same reason. Our bedroom decor is identical. Both LOVE the same music, and a host of other little things which (I thought) added up to something pretty huge. I was very supportive of him, his daughters. I was’t upset for his love for his dead partner-and readily allowed him to tell me about their life together. Through this I learnt not only more about him, but discovered that her and I had very similar spiritual beliefs. So here's my question-WTF ?? He went from on-fire for me - to - out of sight-out of mind !! Did he play me BIG time, did he suffer guilt issues about taking up with someone so soon after his wifes death ? Or is he just a jerk ?

Baby nursery decor in a rental house......? We are renting a house, and the spare bedroom has a wallpaper boarder around the top of the room (it's jungle leaves hanging down in a 3D form) and the walls are painted like a seafoam green. I would like step-by-step instructions on making a VERY LARGE cork bulletin board.? Please- no suggestions about where to buy one (I am making this about 6' square, it simply has to be custom). Please, no suggestions about knitting a felted square, or making a fabric-covered ribbon board (this is not for a 6 year old girl's bedroom). Please, no suggestions about a decorative wine cork thingy- this is not for kitchen decor. I specifically want to use cork, so please no suggestions about using fuzzboard or steel and magnets, or whatever. I would appreciate some serious answers here from crafty/woodworking people! We do have a decent amount of tools in our home, although nothing large and permanent like a table saw or jigsaw! Thank you! Again, I would like step-by-step instructions. I know that you can buy self-stick 12x12 cork tiles. Not helpful. "Just make a frame and get a backing"= not helpful because it doesn't answer the question H O W? There are businesses that do nothing but framing- why? There must be more to making a frame than just "making a frame"- you know, like instructions. What do I use for backing? How do I affix it to the frame? Or do I only attach it to the cork? Etc etc...

Should they stay or should I throw (them away)? Ok here is my issue. I have been going through our house the past few days and getting things ready for a yard sale. In our spare bedroom I have 2 gi-normous Rubbermaid buckets FULL to the brim of baby and kid clothes. These are clothes that either were Rylee's when she was little or little boys clothes sizes newborn-6 years that I have picked up at the Goodwill store over the past few years for my nephews when they come to visit. I want to get rid of them, but I can't. Not just a don't want to, but just the thought of getting rid of them is hurting my stomach, literally. I have never had pains like this before, it's agonizing. I keep going over the negatives and positives in my head but I just can't seem to win!! Argument 1: The reason I bought the boy clothes in the first place was because when my nephews would come to visit, they would always be dirty and their clothes were either too small or too big. Their mom would never send any clothes for them to wear any of the other days and if she did they smelled bad or were dirty or too small or too big. So I bought the clothes and when they come to visit, I immediately wash all of the clothes they are wearing and brought with them and put them in bags by the door and they wear the clothes that I have here for them while they stay. Another reason that I want to keep them is in case we have a boy. These are really expensive clothes that I bought for cheap (Lands End, Children's Place, Carters, Gap, etc.) and I am afraid that if we do have a boy that it will cost alot of money to try and replace them all. The reasons that I want to get rid of them are because we could really use the money for them. Also, I'm not pg yet and I don't know how long it will be before we actually do get pg. They are also taking up alot of space and did I mention we could really use the money right now? The reasons I want to keep the girls clothes is kinda the same. We might have a girl. Also, these were Rylee's and it would be very special if #2 got to wear her sisters clothes. Not to mention we wouldn't have to buy any clothes. The reasons I want to get rid of them are the same as well. We really could use the money. But I don't want to sell everything out of lack of cash, just to regret the decision later. I find it easy to part with some of the boy clothes but not all of them. But I can't even bring myself to get rid of one singe outfit of the girl stuff. Also, I have some nursery decor (mobile, bed skirt, plush heart wall decor and a diaper stacker) that was Rylee's when she was a baby. Even though I can't find the bumper and I haven't seen the quilt in years, I don't want to get rid of that either. It's not even the same color scheme that I want to use for our next baby. I don't know what the heck is wrong with me but I really want to get rid of this stuff because we really need the money more than we need baby crap for a baby that doesn't even exist. Should I get rid of it or would it be a better idea for me to keep it? I just can't rationalize which one is the right choice. Any helpful ideas would be greatly appreciated!

A very disturbing dream please help? i had a dream the other night that i can only describe as my own prologue to a tale similar to the 1973 film exorcist. i was deeply disturbed by it and couldnt get back to sleep. abbas ' angel eyes ' was playing before i went to sleep that night.. the dream : a pale european beautiful little girl of around 13 visiting her distant aunt with her mother... it was happening....something was....coming.. the girls aunt lived far away in a cold distant climate with very few or no people at all.. the visit had ended and the girl and her mother were preparing to fly home.. when they arrived at the airport, it was strangely deserted, very few people around.....all non descript......the odd airport staff here and there.. the girl was sleepy, and dreamely calm, ready to come home, giggling with her mother as they went through the airport terminal.. the girl was also strangely distant, subdued to... the airport was silent....you could hear a pin drop.....outside the airport it was very cold with deep grey mirky skies....little activity....silent and deserted.. a knowingness of what is to come ? the atmosphere distant.....quiet.. the decor of the airport was orange carpets, grey walls and lime green walls the dream flashed to the image of the girl putting her favorite toys in her luggage to be ready to fly back that night.. strange looking alien toys with disturbing other worldy faces...weird unusual bodies.....heads that dangled over and were loose on the dolls necks..... a knowingness ? a premonition ? that night the large mansion house they lived in with too many floors and rooms was dark.....silent... her mother was getting her nightgown on her daughter and was troubled and worried by the look on her daughters face... the look of acceptance of knowingness of inevitability.....a dreamy distant gaze.....hair let down and out.......ready for bed......her room was right at the top of the house.. to get to her room you had to ascend four flights of stairwells.. outside the deep purple of night had arrived....cold, silent....the house was quiet...empty. they lived in a remote setting...civilisation didnt seem to exist.. with her nightgown on , the girl was quiet...subdued and far off....dreamy....she knew it was going to happen tonight.. her mum was deeply worried at this point and asked ' are you sure your ok ? ' the girl with a dreamingly look nodded, smiled, a smile of goodbye ? she was ready to retire to bed....her mum knew....but at the same time didnt know.. her mum was disturbed by the look on her daughters face, she didnt recognise the look, but at the same time.....she recognised it.. the girl ascended the dark, long , silent, lonely stairs that would eventually take her to her room.. the houses lights all dimmed with low power... at that point i woke up from the dream, but it deeply disturbed me.....i tried to capture the essence of it as i wrote it here.. what do you think it could mean ? afterwards i was very scared i couldnt go back to sleep, i live in a one bedroom flat on disability on my own as i have done for 3 years... im 30 now i have bpd and ptsd btw.

How to move daughter to her own room? My daughter is 30 months old and will be 3 in March. Since she was a baby she slept with my husband and I. The arrangement has been fine since my husband has deployed to Iraq for a year and its a comfort for me to have her with me. BUT when husband came back for two weeks leave it was difficult for all of us to sleep in the same bed. Either me or hubby ended up moving to the sofa at night because my daughter moves a lot in her sleep. SO, I am thinking to convert the guest room into her new room. How can I adjust her and get her gradually used to it so that when daddy comes back in four months we can all have our space? The bed in there is queen sized (w/toddler side guards to prevent falls) and it is low enough so that she can climb up in it but its hard to find girl bedding in queen size! Any tips or ideas for converting it to a princess' bedroom on a low budget since we already have the furniture just need some decor and color? I really want her to love it and to WANT to be in there not to be forced to go there!!!! Thanks!

Have you adopted a 12 - 13 yo from Foster Care? What are some of the problems that you have had to deal with? Either from their emotional / physical background or medical issues? I am getting ready to go through my homestudy for a soon to be 13 yo girl who is 'ambivelant about her biological family' but "would benefit from regular contact with biological siblings" -- have any of you had problems doing this? do they see their parents at the same time? I need advice on how to make this a smoother transition for her. I'm not painting her bedroom until she gets her so she can pick out colors and decor. How can i make her feel warm, welcome and safe as quickly as possible? have you formed a good strong familial bond with your child? ::::::: ETA ::::::: Elz -- yes, i think you hit an excellent point -- "trying too hard". I don't want to be sappy and gushy that she thinks it's fake or anything like that. My daughter (19 yo) and i play a lot of games (dominoes, puzzles, cards) as well as we enjoy baking and cooking. I'm hoping that those activities will help her blend in. Did they call you by your first name for awhile? I don't expect her to call me Mom -- what did yours call you at first and for how long?

Um fashion!!! help !!!? Ok well i 'm a 14 year ol girl who loves fashion and will one day be a designer, redoing my bedroom right? ok well i want like a fashion designer's studio type theme. i have a full size bed, but I want to upgrade to a queen.(please provide alink if you can of a pretty queen bed i might like) i wanted to have one wall that was completely closet and vanity, makeup area. but i wanted it to stick out. and then i wanted a small runway but where and how do you buy them. i want an artists desk and a mannequin to try on clothes. and i want a lounge chair and i have one window that i want to be decked out with decor. so... can you help me? find the pieces that i am lookin for maybe? and a color scheme i need one of those really bad. thanks!!! and anything else that i can use to make the room would be greatly appreciated. like fashion sketches or posters, etc. thanks <3

please give me a creative way to decorate big letters? my best friend's little girl is turning three soon and i want to decorate the letters of her name for her bedroom. and i dont want them to look childish, i want them to pretty much go with any decor she decides to go with as she gets older. im thinking black and white perhaps... anyway the letters are pretty big, like eight inches tall, and made of like a really thick cardboard-type material but with a really smooth surface. should i paint them? or use some kind of decoupage thing? i dont even know what i want to do , and i dont know if they all need to be done the same way or anything. help me pleease? i meant a little bit more creative then just painted pattern : (
