Parents & Teens - Which bedroom set is best for two girls...? Ages 11 and 8? My daughters share a room and a queen-sized bed. Right now it's pink and brown, hardwood floors with no rugs, the walls aren't painted, and it's very plain and what decor they do have is very much a little girls' room. It's ready for an update. I gave them the choice to do the room themselves, IE pick out all the paint, decor, bedding, or to let me design it and surprise them with a whole new room. They were both excited about the latter idea, so that's what I'll be doing. I figured the easiest way is to pick out bedding, then base paint and some decor around that, and then take them shopping and let them pick out the other accessories. They agreed on something with bright blue, green or teal, cool colors but still girly. Remodeling a tomboy-ish teen girl's bedroom...? I'm a teenage girl and my parents are going to FINALLY paint the bedrooms next summer. We've lived in our house for two years and they haven't got around to painting the chipping white walls yet. So... The reason I say I'm tomboy-ish is because I absolutely hate pink and purple. I'm going to paint my walls a dark chocolate brown because it's like my neutral color; I'll never hate it. There were these 2 girls. Did they try and set me up? This was actually a while back, but for some reason, it came to mind again. Well I was online on MySpace and this girl messages me at about 9PM, asking me if I wanna come chill with her and her friend. We then learned we just lived down the street from each other. So we walked, I met them half way. We went to her friend's bedroom to chill and after a while, the friend said she was going to sleep and went to another room to do so. This other girl and I were left alone, sitting on the bed (that was the only place to sit in the room). The lights were left off with the TV on. I was kind of shy so it was a pretty awkward silence for a little bit, until finally she said she was gonna go to sleep. The next day, she asked me if I wanted to kiss her the night before, and I said 'yes' because I did. Is it possible they kind of set the whole thing up so that girl could 'get some'? I kind of feel like that's what was going on and I blew it.

What priviledge does a single-mom have with the bedroom size with a boy and girl? I am a single mom of a boy age 8 and a girl age 10. We have lived in my mothers's basement sharing the same space for 6 years, now we have a 2 bedroom apartment and I being the parent took the larger room and gave the children the smaller room. Anyone have any creative ideas involving housing a family of four in a two-bedroom apartment? There are two adults and two children (ages 8 and 6) in the family, and I'm looking for a cteative way to house us in a two-bedroom apartment. Since I have one girl and one boy, each has one bedroom right now, and my boyfriend and I sleep on a futon in the living room and I share the closet with my daughter, he shares the one in my son's room. It's nice for the kids because they each have a fairly large room to themselves, but my boyfriend and I don't have much privacy! I'm trying to think of other ways to make the situation work....and we're looking at another apartment, also with only 2 bedrooms (because getting a three-bedroom where we live is very difficult and it costs almost twice as much as a two-bedroom!). Anwyay, this new apartment we're considering has one of it's bathrooms in the master bedroom, which means whichever kid gets that room will get the bathroom and the other three of us will have to share the remaining bathroom. Is there another way we could set things up? We like where we live (a block from the beach) and don't want to move to another area!! :P I really don't feel it's appropriate for an 8 year old girl and a 6 year old boy to be sharing a room (in fact, in some states, it's illegal, if I'm not mistaken!)

What is the name of this movie where some kind of troll thing lives in a little girl's bedroom wall? A single mother lives in a house with her daughter, who has a pet bird (I think it was a parrot). The little girl takes in a stray cat, but her mother told her not to. The next morning, they find the bird mangled and killed in its cage, but the little girl doesn't believe the cat did it. toddler scared of bedroom. What colors help make it "safe", friendly and nice? My 2 almost 3 year old girl is so scared of her bedroom!! I can't figure it out. She has the cutest little white bed painted with purple and pink flowers, a little purple and pink kitchen set, a little white table with purple and pink flowers on it, a soft fuzzy white rug, a soft fuzzy yellow rug, light yellow sheer drapes, a full-lenght mirror that she just loves, white shelves with all her books on it and a little lamp, fake purple flowers, her changing table that's really a desk painted white, and white walls with pretty little things hung on them. Her closet doors are dark brown. We can't paint this place, but are buying a place of our own and I need some good suggestions please!! (she WON'T sleep in there and always wakes up crying at night saying it's scary). She won't sleep in our room. She prefers to be alone and would rather sleep in the living room on the couches or even on the floor!

What would be a good decor scheme for a bedroom shared by 3 year old girl and baby boy? We're having a baby boy and for the time being (until we get a bigger place) my 3 year old daughter and he will share a room. My daughter already has everything decked out in pink and full of princess accessories. I haven't bought my crib set or anything like that for my boy yet. How could I have them share a room and have it all tie in together so it doesn't look like one side is for a boy and one for a girl? I'm also looking for relativley affordable options, since they will probably only share for one year at the most. And my paint options are limited. Victorian Bedroom Furniture For Teenage Girl? I'm 13 years old and I am going to remodel my bedroom in the near furture. I'm really into that Victorian style furniture with the old antique accessories (like things you would find in your grandmother's house). I like the white furniture, not the dark brown. decorating kids bedroom & bathroom? My boyfriend and I don't have his kids stay with us very often so when they do all 4 of them stay in the same bedroom. We haev two sets of bunk beds. Interior Design Question- Color and Scheme of a Teenage Girl's Bedroom...? When we moved into our new house I was eleven years old and painted the room a light, lime green color. Now 5 years later, my parents are generously offering to buy me a new bedroom set. I have chosen a shabby-chic/French country theme with white painted wooden furniture and a classic metal bed (please see links below for pictures). The Passion Party was a blast! However I need your help girls? I attended a extreme passion party yesterday. We were told to wear our comfortable pj's or whatever! Anyway...the party was over the top, the demo's were outstanding and I saw stuff I have never seen before. They had a bedroom set aside for private testing of the featured toys! HELP!! What to do with 10 & 11 years old girls who STOLE coins from water bottle? my daughters are 10 & 11 years old. We live with my sister and brother-in-law. My brother-in-law is an ANGEL and does everything for them (beyond the call emotionally and FINANCIALLY!). He had one of those sparkletts water bottle jars in his closet, in HIS bedroom, and he started to notice the SILVER coins missing. He set up a trap and more coins came up missing. The 10 years old said, "I don't remember if I did take it or not!" WTF!! The 11 years old said, "I didn't do it!" Yet, there was a sandwich baggie full of silver coins in her backpack. These girls are not wanting for anything. They have been traumatized by a house fire one year ago and suffer burn scarring. At My wits end! How to get these kids to respect their belongings? I have twins, 7 year old girls. They'll be 8 in Dec. Anyway, we were fortunate enough until last year to give them just about everything that a couple of little girls could want. They have a ton of toys, video games, movies, and even have 2 computers in their bedroom. They have a hamster in their room as well. Anyway, we are not so fortunate now as my husband lost his job. The girls have always abused their personal belongings. I want them to have nice things , so I replace them. They continually trash their room putting hamster food and water in their kitchen set and in their rug. They constantly have papers and toys all over the floor. Their dolls are colored on. Their dvd collection only half works because they just throw the dvds on the floor or wherever when they're done watching them. I put them to bed and when I go in their room to check on them, I find them sneaking back over to the bed.
